"Differences Day” is a workshop that includes a series of exciting hands-on activities designed to simulate visual, auditory, speech and motor impairments, as well as learning differences. Classes rotate in small groups through the following five different stations, eight minutes per station for a total of forty minutes.
· Blind and Visual Impairment Station
· Deaf and Hearing Impairment Station
· Learning Differences Station
· Speech and Communication Impairment Station
· Motor Impairment and Physical Disabilities Station
The purpose of the program is for the students to better understand the challenges faced by children with special needs.
